How to play
WAR
The classic card slugfest — flip cards, higher rank takes the pile, ties go to WAR.
Setup
- Two players share a standard 52-card deck, dealt evenly — 26 cards each, face-down in a stack.
- Online, the host creates a room with a 4-letter code; the other player joins with that code.
Playing a round
- Both players flip the top card of their stack at the same time.
- The higher rank takes both cards and adds them to the bottom of their stack.
- Rank runs low-to-high: 2 is lowest, then 3–10, J, Q, K, and Ace is highest. Suits don't matter.
WAR (ties)
- If both cards are the same rank, it's a tie — a WAR.
- Each player lays three cards face-down, then flips a fourth; the higher fourth card wins the whole pile.
- If the fourth cards tie again, the WAR repeats — the stakes keep doubling until someone breaks through.
Winning
- The first player to collect all 52 cards wins.
- If a player runs out mid-WAR, their last cards resolve the tie with whatever they can play.
